Brooks Yang is a filmmaker and editor living in Los Angeles. Her work specializes in documentary films and is a current Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellow, 2024-2025. Her credits include a forthcoming documentary on an art forger and Associate Producer on “Love, Charlie” (Netflix). She is currently an Associate Editor on a limited doc series for Netflix about social media. Her AE work includes feature films and limited doc series for Netflix, Hulu and HBO.  She holds an MFA in Directing from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & Television. She is the recipient of the Lynn Weston Fellowship for outstanding female director and the Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation Fellowship for her short films. Previously, she worked at United Talent Agency and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton. Her father is Chinese-American and mother is white; she grew up in Missouri.
